Find and Restore an Archived Campaign
If a campaign has disappeared from your Campaigns list, it may have been archived. Archiving is a safe way to tidy up: the campaign is hidden, but nothing is deleted. Its steps, emails, settings, contacts and results are all kept, and you can bring it back any time.
How to archive a campaign:
- Open the campaign and click the ⋮ menu → Archive.
- You can archive a campaign that is paused, completed, a draft or has an error. If it is running or scheduled, pause it first.
- An archived campaign does not send.
- Right after you archive, a message appears with an 'Undo' button and a 'View archived' link, so you can reverse it straight away.
How to find archived campaigns:
- Go to Campaigns → the status filter → Archived. It shows how many you have.
- Or go straight to /campaigns?status=archived.
How to restore one:
- On the archived campaign's row, open the ⋮ menu → Unarchive.
- Or open the archived campaign. A banner at the top says it is archived and has an 'Unarchive' button.
Example: you archived 'Dentists – Spring' last week and want it back. Open Campaigns → Status → Archived (1) → ⋮ → Unarchive. It's back, paused. Press Resume when you're ready.
A restored campaign always comes back paused. Nothing is sent until you press Resume. When you resume, the normal checks and the usual safe sending pace apply.
Archive is not the same as Delete. Delete removes the campaign permanently and cannot be undone. If you might want the campaign back, Archive is the safe choice.
Using an AI agent or the API: your agent (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex, OpenClaw, and Hermes Agent — or any agent that speaks MCP) can do the same. Try: 'Show my archived campaigns and bring back the Dental Clinic campaign.' The agent cannot make it send. The campaign comes back paused, and you (or the agent, if you ask) resume it. WarmySender's scheduler still paces every send within safe limits.
• API: POST /api/v1/campaigns/{id}/archive and POST /api/v1/campaigns/{id}/unarchive. List archived campaigns with GET /api/v1/campaigns?archived=true.
• MCP tools: archive_campaign, unarchive_campaign, and list_campaigns with archived: true.
Bringing deleted contacts back: if you delete contacts and then bring the same contacts back — by re-importing the same file, adding them back to the list your campaign uses, or adding them to the campaign again — they now rejoin the campaign they were taken out of, at the step they had reached. A step that was already sent is never sent again.
People who unsubscribed, bounced, replied, already finished the sequence, or whom you removed from the campaign yourself are not added back. The message after the import or add tells you how many rejoined, and how many were not added and why.
Good to know: adding people back to a list only adds them to campaigns that are running or scheduled. For a paused campaign, add them from the campaign itself, or edit the campaign and save it.
