Connect Your Instagram Account
Go to Instagram > Accounts and click 'Connect Account', then sign in on the secure Instagram page (username, password, and your two-factor code if you use one). It takes about a minute and only has to be done once per account. Here's the full walkthrough, plus what to do if the connection ever needs refreshing.
What connecting unlocks: Instagram DM outreach in WarmySender — you can auto-follow and warm up leads, then send DM campaigns, all inside safe daily and hourly limits that protect your account, and read and reply to every conversation in one real-time inbox.
Before you start: you'll need an active paid plan and at least one Instagram seat added on the Billing page ($20 per seat per month, or $165 per seat per year). Each seat connects one Instagram account. A seat belongs to the workspace you bought it in; if you need it in a different workspace, you can move it from the Billing page. Personal, Creator, and Business accounts all work.
Connect your account:
- Go to Instagram > Accounts and click 'Connect Account'.
- You'll answer a couple of quick questions about the account (how established it is) so WarmySender can pick the right safe starting pace for it.
- You'll then be taken to a secure Instagram sign-in page to log in with your Instagram username and password.
- If your account uses two-factor authentication, you'll be asked for your verification code — enter it promptly, as these codes expire quickly.
- Once you're signed in, you're brought back to WarmySender and your account appears on the Accounts page, ready to use.
Right after connecting: WarmySender takes a short moment to finish setting up and pulls in your recent conversations so your inbox is ready. New actions ease in gently for the first hour — this is deliberate, so a freshly connected account never starts with a burst of activity.
Why sign in on Instagram's own page? So your password is entered directly with Instagram and handled securely. WarmySender connects to your account the same careful way the official Instagram apps do.
If your account shows 'Disconnected' or 'Needs verification': Instagram occasionally asks you to sign in again — after a password change, a new-device check, or a security prompt. When that happens, open Instagram > Accounts and click 'Reconnect', then sign in again (and enter a fresh code if asked). Any campaigns that were using that account pause themselves while it's disconnected and pick right back up once it's healthy again — nothing is lost, and prospects stay exactly where they were in your sequence.
One account per seat: to run more than one Instagram account at the same time, add another seat on the Billing page, then connect the next account the same way.
Account safety always comes first — connecting, reconnecting, and the gentle first-hour ramp are all designed to keep your account in good standing.
