Connecting an AI agent that asks you to sign in

Some AI tools let you add WarmySender as a custom connector. You give them the WarmySender address, a WarmySender approval screen opens, you sign in with your normal WarmySender account and approve — and from then on you can run your outreach by chatting, with no key to copy or paste. This page walks through that path from start to finish, and covers what to do if the connection doesn't complete.

If you tried this before 28 July 2026 and kept getting returned to your dashboard, please try once more — that was a fault on our side, not anything you did, and it is fixed. The approval screen now appears and the connection completes normally. There is nothing you need to change, reset or clean up first.

WarmySender covers four things — cold emailing, email warmup, LinkedIn outreach, and multichannel sequences that combine them. Once an agent is connected, you can drive all four in plain language, and WarmySender keeps every send inside its normal safe limits regardless of what you ask for.

Two ways to connect — and which one this page is about

There are two ways to give an AI agent access to your workspace. Both give it exactly the same abilities; pick whichever suits how you work.

You can switch between them at any time, and switching doesn't affect your campaigns, your warmup, or anything already running.

Before you start

How to connect, step by step

The wording differs a little between AI tools, but the shape is always the same:

  1. Open your AI tool's connector settings. Depending on the tool this is called connectors, integrations, or extensions. Choose the option to add a custom one.
  2. Give it the WarmySender address. When it asks where the connector lives, enter https://warmysender.com/mcp exactly as written, and continue.
  3. Sign in on the WarmySender screen. A WarmySender page opens asking you to sign in. Use your normal WarmySender account — the same one you use in your browser. If you're already signed in in that browser, this step passes straight through.
  4. Approve the connection. WarmySender shows you what the agent is asking for. Review it and approve.
  5. You're connected. Your AI tool shows WarmySender as active. Try it with something small, like asking which of your campaigns are running right now.

Finish the approval reasonably promptly once you've started it — the sign-in step stays valid for about 30 minutes. If you get distracted and come back much later, just start again from your AI tool; nothing is stuck and there's nothing to undo.

If the connection doesn't complete

You keep landing back on your dashboard

If approving the connector took you to your WarmySender dashboard instead of finishing — perhaps several times over, in what felt like a loop — that was a defect on our side. It affected everyone using the sign-in path, whether or not they were signed in already, so there was nothing you could have done differently. It was fixed on 28 July 2026.

To pick it back up: remove the WarmySender connector from your AI tool if it's still sitting there half-added, then add it again with the steps above. It completes the first time now. You don't need to clear anything, sign out anywhere, or create a new account.

If it still doesn't finish

A few quick things worth confirming, in the order they're most likely to matter:

  1. Check the address. It needs to be exactly https://warmysender.com/mcp — no trailing slash, no extra path, and the same spelling of the domain.
  2. Check your plan. Connecting an agent needs a paid plan. If you're on the free plan, or you signed up but haven't chosen a plan yet, the connector may attach but every request it makes will be turned down. The billing page shows where you stand.
  3. Start the approval fresh. If the approval screen has been sitting open for a while, close it and start again from your AI tool rather than reloading it.
  4. Try the workspace-key route instead. A workspace key skips the sign-in screen entirely and gives your agent exactly the same access. If you're on a shared or headless machine, it's the better fit anyway.

If none of that gets you connected, tell us what you're seeing — details in Still need a hand? below.

Once you're connected: it's not doing anything

Connecting and being able to act are two separate things, and it's worth knowing the difference so you don't chase the wrong problem.

Which AI tools this works with

The sign-in path works with any AI tool that supports adding a custom connector and signing in to it — Claude is the most common example, and others are adding the same capability. Tools that don't offer it can still connect using a workspace key, which is supported everywhere. If you specifically want the Claude walkthrough with its own screenshots of each step, see Connect WarmySender to Claude.

Is it safe?

Your agent only ever works inside the workspace you approved, and you choose when to approve it. Just as importantly, nothing an agent asks for can outrun WarmySender's safety rules. Your cold emails still go out at their measured, reputation-safe pace. Your warmup keeps to its gentle ramp. Your LinkedIn actions stay inside their daily and weekly limits and their ramp schedule. Ask an agent to enroll a very large list and WarmySender still spreads the sending out safely rather than firing it all at once — an agent cannot raise a limit, and it never sends anything directly itself.

You can disconnect at any time from your AI tool's connector settings, and you can see and manage access from inside WarmySender.

Frequently asked questions

Why did adding the connector keep sending me back to my dashboard?

That was a fault on our side, and it's fixed as of 28 July 2026. Approving the connector returned you to your dashboard instead of completing, so it never switched on no matter how many times you tried. It affected everyone using the sign-in path, so it wasn't anything about your account, your browser or your plan. Remove the half-added connector from your AI tool and add it again — it completes now.

What address do I give my AI tool?

https://warmysender.com/mcp — exactly that, with no trailing slash and nothing added to the end. Your AI tool may call this the connector address, the server URL, or the endpoint depending on which tool you're using.

Do I have to sign in, or can I use a key instead?

Either works, and both give your agent exactly the same access. Signing in is the quickest when your AI tool offers it, because there's nothing to copy or store. A workspace key, which you create inside WarmySender, works with every supported tool and is the better choice on a shared machine or anywhere you'd rather not sign in through a browser. You can switch between them later without affecting anything that's already running.

Do I need a paid plan?

Yes. Connecting an AI agent is included with paid plans at no extra charge — there's no separate add-on to buy. On the free plan, or on an account that hasn't picked a plan yet, the connector can be added but every request it makes will be turned down. Choosing a plan switches it on straight away, with no need to reconnect.

How long do I have to finish approving?

About 30 minutes from when you start. If you leave the approval screen sitting for longer than that, just start again from your AI tool — nothing gets stuck and there's nothing to undo.

Is it safe to let an AI agent run my outreach?

Yes. Your agent never sends anything directly and can never raise a limit. WarmySender paces every email and every LinkedIn action inside its normal safe daily and weekly caps and its gradual ramp — exactly as it would if you ran the same thing by hand. Connecting and disconnecting your accounts, and permanently deleting things, stay in the app and are not available to any agent. You can disconnect whenever you like.

What can a connected agent actually do?

Most of what you'd do in the app, just by asking: build, launch, pause and resume cold email campaigns, add and enroll prospects, run LinkedIn outreach, check how your mailboxes are warming up, verify email addresses, and report back on how anything is performing. Connecting your accounts and permanently deleting things stay with you.

Still need a hand?

If you've tried adding the connector again and it still won't complete, email [email protected] and tell us which AI tool you're using and what you see on screen at the point it stops. That's usually enough for us to spot it. Replying to that message is all you need to do — we'll pick it up from there.
