Accept or decline connection requests from your Inbox
When someone sends you a LinkedIn connection request, it now shows up in your WarmySender Inbox alongside your conversations — with the sender's name, their note if they added one, and Accept and Decline buttons right there. So you can triage who's asking to connect, read why, and decide, all without opening LinkedIn. It's the "invitations you receive" side of LinkedIn, brought into the same place you already run your outreach.
What are incoming connection requests in the Inbox?
They're the LinkedIn invitations other people send to you — the "so-and-so would like to connect" requests — surfaced inside WarmySender so you can review and respond to them without going to LinkedIn. Each request shows who it's from and any note they attached, with Accept and Decline right beside it, so you can clear your invitations from the same screen where you handle replies.
- Accept
- Say yes to the invitation. The person becomes one of your 1st-degree connections on LinkedIn, and any message conversation with them opens up in the normal way. Accepting here does exactly what accepting on LinkedIn does.
- Decline
- Turn the invitation down. The request is cleared from your list and no connection is made — the same as ignoring or declining an invite on LinkedIn. Declining is quiet; the sender isn't sent a "you were declined" message.
This is part of WarmySender's LinkedIn Outreach pillar and its shared Inbox. WarmySender is a 4-pillar outreach platform — Cold Emailing, Email Warmup, LinkedIn Outreach, and Multichannel sequences — and handling the invitations you receive in the same Inbox as your replies means one screen for everything inbound, whether it's a message or a request to connect.
Where do I see connection requests people sent me?
Open your Inbox from the left navigation and look on the LinkedIn side — incoming connection requests appear there among your conversations, each showing the sender and their Accept / Decline buttons. If you have more than one LinkedIn account connected, requests are shown per account, so you can see who's trying to connect with which of your profiles.
These are the invitations sent to you — a completely separate thing from the invitations your campaigns send out to prospects. This page is only about requests other people send you; if you're looking for whether your outbound invites have been accepted, that's tracked on your campaign's Prospects view instead.
How do I accept or decline a request?
Find the request in your Inbox, read the sender's note if they left one, then click Accept to connect or Decline to turn it down — the request updates straight away and the change flows through to LinkedIn. There's nothing else to confirm on LinkedIn; your decision here is the decision.
- Open your Inbox and go to the LinkedIn side.
- Find the incoming connection request you want to handle.
- Read the sender's name, headline, and the note they attached (if any) so you can decide with context.
- Click Accept to connect with them, or Decline to turn the request down.
- The request updates immediately and the outcome is reflected on LinkedIn — no separate step needed there.
Because a lot of invitations come with a short note, it's worth reading it before you decide — a genuine, relevant note is a good sign, while a blank or clearly mass-sent pitch tells you what you need to know. Taking a moment to review each one keeps your network intentional.
What happens after I accept someone?
They become a 1st-degree connection on LinkedIn, and you can message them normally — including through a message-only campaign that reaches your existing connections. Accepting doesn't automatically add them to any campaign; it simply makes the connection, and what happens next is entirely up to you.
If you'd like to follow up with people who've connected with you, you can add them to a message-only LinkedIn campaign yourself — that reaches 1st-degree connections without sending any new invitations. This keeps you in control: connecting and messaging are separate, deliberate steps, never something that happens automatically the moment you accept.
Is it safe to accept a lot of requests at once?
Accepting the genuine invitations you receive is a normal, everyday LinkedIn action, and reviewing them one at a time in the Inbox is exactly the careful, human way to do it. WarmySender deliberately keeps you in the driver's seat here — you read each request and choose — rather than auto-accepting on your behalf, because thoughtful, individual decisions are what keep an account healthy.
Account safety always comes first at WarmySender, and that's true on the receiving side too: you decide each invitation yourself, which is precisely the pattern LinkedIn expects. If you ever get an unusual flood of requests, it's fine to take your time and work through them in batches — there's no pressure to clear them all at once, and spacing out your responses to a large influx is the safe, natural thing to do.

Common adjacent questions about handling incoming LinkedIn connection requests in WarmySender.
Can I read the sender's note before I accept?
Yes. Each incoming request in your Inbox shows the sender's name and headline plus the note they attached, if they added one, so you can decide with context. Reading the note is the easiest way to tell a genuine, relevant invitation from a mass-sent pitch before you choose Accept or Decline.
Does the person know if I decline their request?
No. Declining is quiet — the request is simply cleared from your list and no connection is made, the same as declining or ignoring an invite on LinkedIn. The sender isn't sent a "you were declined" notification, so there's no awkwardness in turning down invitations that aren't a fit.
Are these the invites my campaign sent, or ones people sent me?
These are invitations other people sent to you. They're separate from the invitations your campaigns send out to prospects. This part of the Inbox is only about requests you receive; to see whether your outbound invites have been accepted, check your campaign's Prospects view instead.
If I accept someone, are they added to a campaign automatically?
No. Accepting a request only makes the connection — it never adds the person to a campaign on its own. Connecting and messaging are deliberately separate steps. If you want to follow up with people who've connected, you can add them yourself to a message-only campaign that reaches your existing connections.
Do I have to open LinkedIn to accept a request?
No. You can review and Accept or Decline incoming requests entirely inside the WarmySender Inbox. Your decision flows straight through to LinkedIn, so there's no separate confirmation step there — handling your invitations in WarmySender does the same thing as handling them on LinkedIn.
Can I handle requests for more than one LinkedIn account here?
Yes. If you've connected several LinkedIn accounts, incoming requests are shown per account in the Inbox, so you can see who's trying to connect with which of your profiles and respond for each one. It's one place to triage all your inbound invitations across every connected account.
Is it safe to accept many connection requests?
Accepting the genuine invitations you receive is a normal LinkedIn action, and reviewing them individually in the Inbox is the careful, human way to do it — WarmySender keeps you in control and doesn't auto-accept for you. If you get an unusually large influx, it's fine to work through them in batches over time rather than all at once; account safety always comes first, including on the receiving side.
