Campaign Safety & Cooldown
WarmySender automatically protects your sender reputation with safety features:
Bounce Rate Protection:
- Default threshold: 5% bounce rate
- Minimum 50 sends before enforcement
- If exceeded, campaign enters 'Cooldown' status and stops sending
Spam Complaint Protection:
- Default threshold: 3 spam complaints
- Campaign enters Cooldown after exceeding the threshold
Reply Rate Floor (optional):
- Set a minimum expected reply rate per campaign
- At 100 sends: warning logged if below the floor
- At 200 sends: campaign auto-paused if still below the floor
Cooldown & Recovery:
- When a campaign enters Cooldown, all sending stops
- After 24 hours, the system automatically re-checks safety metrics
- If metrics have improved and your subscription is active, the campaign auto-recovers to 'Running'
- If metrics haven't improved, the campaign stays in Cooldown
Mailbox Auth Protection:
- After 10 consecutive authentication failures on a mailbox, it is automatically disabled to prevent further damage
Host Circuit Breaker:
- If 5 consecutive sends to the same email host fail, a circuit breaker opens for 5 minutes
- After cooldown, a single test send is attempted — success closes the breaker, failure re-opens it
Watchdog System:
- An independent watchdog runs every 60 seconds
- If the campaign scheduler hasn't processed in 3 minutes, it's declared dead and force-restarted
Best Practices:
- Keep bounce rate below 3% by verifying email lists before sending
- Use the suppression list to exclude known bad addresses
- Monitor the Analytics page for early warning signs
- Don't ignore Cooldown — investigate and fix the root cause before the campaign auto-resumes
