Why did my LinkedIn account disconnect after I canceled my seat?
Short answer
Because your LinkedIn seat was canceled, WarmySender safely paused the connected LinkedIn account. This is intentional, not a fault — a LinkedIn seat is what keeps an account active, so when the seat goes away, the account is placed on hold rather than left running without a seat behind it.
Nothing is lost. Your campaigns, sending schedules, and step-by-step progress are all saved. If you reactivate your seat within 7 days, the account is restored instantly and your campaigns pick up exactly where they left off. You can reactivate any time from the Billing page.
What you'll see on the LinkedIn accounts page
The affected account shows a calm amber badge that reads "Paused — seat canceled" along with a one-line explanation and a single "Reactivate seat" button. There's nothing broken to fix and no error to troubleshoot — the account is simply resting until a seat is back in place.
You won't be asked to reconnect or re-log-in while you're inside the 7-day window. Reactivating the seat is the one action that brings the account back, and it takes just a moment.
Why a canceled seat pauses the account
Think of a seat as the license that lets a LinkedIn account run inside WarmySender. One seat powers one LinkedIn account: it connects the account, runs your invites, messages, and follow-ups, and keeps your unified inbox in sync. When you cancel the seat, that license is gone, so the account it was powering is paused.
Pausing is deliberately gentle. We don't delete the account, delete your prospects, or erase any history. We put the account on hold and keep everything intact so that reactivating is a one-click restore rather than a fresh setup.
The 7-day grace window
For 7 days after the seat is canceled, the account stays in a "paused, ready to restore" state:
- Reactivate the seat within 7 days → instant restore. The account comes back connected, and your campaigns resume on their normal schedule. Each prospect continues at the exact step they were on — no re-import, no re-setup, no lost progress.
- Your campaign history and analytics are preserved. Accept counts, reply counts, and every past action stay on record. Nothing is wiped by the pause.
- Your prospects, audiences, sequences, and templates are untouched. They remain exactly as you left them.
After the 7 days pass, the account's saved connection is released as a normal housekeeping step. Your campaigns, prospects, and analytics still stay preserved indefinitely on our side — but bringing the account back will then involve a quick reconnect (a routine LinkedIn sign-in that takes about 30 seconds) rather than an instant restore.
How to restore your account
- Go to LinkedIn → Accounts and find the account marked "Paused — seat canceled".
- Click Reactivate seat (this takes you to the Billing page). You can also open Billing directly and reactivate from there.
- Add a LinkedIn seat back to your plan. As soon as the seat is active again, the paused account is restored.
- Your campaigns resume automatically on their normal schedule — there's nothing else to switch back on.
If you're within the 7-day window, that's the whole process — no reconnect step, no re-authentication.
A quick example
Say you have one LinkedIn account running a 3-step outreach campaign, and 40 of your prospects have already accepted your connection request and are waiting on the next message. You cancel your LinkedIn seat.
- Right away: the account shows "Paused — seat canceled". The campaign stops sending, but all 40 prospects keep their place in the sequence — the ones waiting on message 2 are still waiting on message 2.
- Day 3, you change your mind: you reactivate your seat from Billing. The account is restored instantly, the campaign resumes, and those 40 prospects continue from exactly where they paused. Nothing was lost.
- If instead you waited past day 7: your prospects, history, and analytics are still all there — you'd just do a quick 30-second LinkedIn sign-in to reconnect the account before the campaign resumes.
Your email tools keep running
WarmySender is a 4-pillar outreach platform: Cold Emailing, Email Warmup, LinkedIn Outreach, and Multichannel sequences. Canceling a LinkedIn seat only affects the LinkedIn side. Your cold email campaigns keep sending and your email warmup keeps running on your email plan exactly as before.
If you run Multichannel sequences that mix email and LinkedIn steps, the email steps continue to send normally — only the LinkedIn steps wait until a seat is active again. The sequence itself doesn't stop; it simply skips the LinkedIn actions while the account is paused.
If you didn't mean to cancel
If the seat was canceled by mistake, you don't need to do anything special — just reactivate it from the Billing page. Inside the 7-day window your account and campaigns snap right back with no reconnect and no lost progress. That grace window exists specifically so an accidental cancellation is easy to undo.
Common questions
Why did my LinkedIn account disconnect after I canceled my seat?
Because a LinkedIn seat is what keeps an account active in WarmySender. When you cancel the seat, the account it was powering is safely paused — you'll see "Paused — seat canceled" on the LinkedIn accounts page. It's intentional, not a fault, and nothing is deleted.
Did I lose my campaigns and progress?
No. Your campaigns, sending schedules, step-by-step progress, prospects, audiences, templates, and analytics are all preserved. Pausing puts the account on hold without erasing anything.
How do I get my account back?
Reactivate your seat from the Billing page. Within 7 days of the cancellation, the account is restored instantly and your campaigns resume on their normal schedule — each prospect continues at the exact step they were on.
What is the 7-day window?
For 7 days after the seat is canceled, your account stays in a "paused, ready to restore" state. Reactivate within those 7 days for an instant, one-click restore with no reconnect needed. After 7 days, restoring the account involves a quick 30-second LinkedIn sign-in to reconnect it — but your campaigns, prospects, and analytics remain saved either way.
Do I need to reconnect or log in again?
Not within the 7-day window — reactivating the seat is the only step. If you come back after 7 days, you'll do a short, routine LinkedIn sign-in to reconnect the account before your campaigns resume.
Does this affect my email campaigns or warmup?
No. Canceling a LinkedIn seat only pauses the LinkedIn side. Your cold email campaigns keep sending and your email warmup keeps running on your email plan with no change. In Multichannel sequences, email steps continue and only LinkedIn steps wait for an active seat.
Will my LinkedIn connections or prospects see anything?
No. The pause is entirely inside your WarmySender account. From your prospects' point of view, your LinkedIn account looks exactly the same as before — there's no "this account left a tool" signal.
I canceled by accident — can I undo it?
Yes. Just reactivate the seat from the Billing page. Inside the 7-day window your account and campaigns come right back with no reconnect and no lost progress. The grace window is designed to make an accidental cancellation easy to reverse.
