See Opens and Clicks by Email Variant (A/B)
If a campaign step has more than one A/B variant, WarmySender shows you how each variant performs and which variant every recipient received — without exporting and cross-referencing by hand.
Per-variant performance (Sequence tab):
- Open the campaign and go to the Sequence tab.
- A step with multiple variants shows a 'variants' badge. Click the step row to expand it.
- You'll see one row per variant (A, B, C…), each with its own Sent, Opened, Clicked, and Replied numbers and percentages. The Clicked column sits right next to Opened, so you can compare at a glance which subject line or body drove the most opens and the most clicks.
- The step's header row shows the combined totals across all variants.
Which variant each recipient received (Prospects tab):
- In the same campaign, open the Prospects tab.
- The Variant column shows the variant each recipient was sent (A, B, C…), positioned right before the Opens and Clicks columns. A dash means that recipient hasn't been sent into a variant step yet (for example, they're still scheduled).
- Because Variant sits next to that recipient's own Opens and Clicks, you can read engagement per person, per variant, directly in the table.
Export everything to a spreadsheet:
Click Export on the Prospects tab. The CSV includes a Variant column alongside Opened, Open Count, Clicked, and Click Count for every recipient — so you can build your own pivot of opens and clicks by variant in Excel or Google Sheets.
Good to know:
- Variant assignment is sticky — once a recipient is placed in a variant, they stay in it for the rest of the sequence, so the numbers stay consistent.
- These columns appear for cold email (and the email side of multichannel) campaigns, with open and click tracking on (it's on by default).
