Why won't my Sales Navigator list import?
Short answer: a Sales Navigator lead list (the kind whose link looks like linkedin.com/sales/lists/people/…) does import into WarmySender — as long as the LinkedIn account you connected is currently carrying Sales Navigator access. The usual reason a list won't come in is that, after you reconnected your LinkedIn account, it came back without Sales Navigator access even though your subscription is still active — and the account may show its plan as Premium. When that happens the list can't open yet. The one-click fix: open the account and press Re-check Sales Navigator access to restore it. If the re-check can't find it, reconnect the account while Sales Navigator is open in the same browser. And any time you just want to keep moving, a regular LinkedIn search link imports on any connected account, including a free one. This page walks through each step.
WarmySender is a 4-pillar outreach platform — Cold Emailing, Email Warmup, LinkedIn Outreach, and Multichannel sequences. This guide covers a LinkedIn Outreach question: getting the people from a Sales Navigator list into a WarmySender audience so you can start a campaign.
Do Sales Navigator lists import into WarmySender?
Yes. You can paste a Sales Navigator lead-list link straight into WarmySender and import the people on it, the same way you would a regular search link. The one condition is that the LinkedIn account you connected has to be carrying Sales Navigator access at the moment you import — because a Sales Navigator list lives behind that paid product, and only a session that currently holds Sales Navigator can open it and see the people inside.
So there's nothing special you have to turn on in WarmySender for Sales Navigator lists. If your connected account is carrying Sales Navigator, the list imports. If it isn't — which most often happens after a reconnect — the steps below get it carrying Sales Navigator again.
Why does my Sales Navigator list come in empty?
Almost always because your connected LinkedIn account isn't carrying Sales Navigator access right now — even though your subscription is still active. This usually happens right after you reconnect the account. When an account reconnects, it can come back on a session that doesn't include Sales Navigator, and in that state WarmySender may show the account's plan as Premium rather than Sales Navigator. Your subscription hasn't lapsed and you haven't lost anything — the connection simply came back without the Sales Navigator part attached, so the list has nothing to open from and imports empty.
A few other things can leave a list looking empty, and they're worth ruling out too:
- You connected a different account than the one that owns the list. A saved list built inside one person's Sales Navigator is only visible to the account that created it (or was given access). If you connected a second account of your own, or a teammate's, it won't see that list.
- The account genuinely doesn't have Sales Navigator. A LinkedIn Free or LinkedIn Premium account (with no Sales Navigator) can't open a Sales Navigator list at all — there's no access to restore.
The good news is that the most common case — an active-subscription account that came back from a reconnect without Sales Navigator access — is a one-click fix.
The one-click fix: Re-check Sales Navigator access
If your account has Sales Navigator but the list still won't import, re-check its access right where you import. When you paste a Sales Navigator link, a Re-check Sales Navigator access button appears next to the account you're importing with — press it and it looks again for the Sales Navigator access on that connected account and restores it, so it flips back to Sales Navigator and your list imports.
- Go to import your list and paste your Sales Navigator link (or open the Sales Navigator list you were trying to bring in).
- Choose the account you're importing with. If it's showing Premium when you know it has Sales Navigator, that's the tell-tale sign it came back without Sales Navigator access.
- Click Re-check Sales Navigator access next to that account.
- When it confirms Sales Navigator access restored and the account shows Sales Navigator, start the import again — the people will come in.
This is the fastest path and fixes the vast majority of "I pay for Sales Navigator but my list won't import" cases. (You can also see each account's current plan badge on LinkedIn › Accounts.) If the re-check can't find Sales Navigator on the account, move to the reconnect step below.
If the re-check can't find it: reconnect with Sales Navigator open
Reconnect the account while Sales Navigator is open in the same browser. If the Re-check button doesn't restore access, the surest way to bring it back is to reconnect the account from a browser session that's actively in Sales Navigator — that way the new connection picks up the session that's carrying Sales Navigator.
- In the browser you'll reconnect from, open Sales Navigator and make sure you're in it (you can see your Sales Navigator home or a lead list).
- Leave that tab open, go to LinkedIn › Accounts in WarmySender, and reconnect the account.
- Go back to import your list. Check that the account now shows Sales Navigator; if it still shows Premium, click Re-check Sales Navigator access next to it once more.
- Start the import again — your list will come in.
Reconnecting is safe: your campaigns stay pointed at the same account and pick right back up. See Reconnecting a LinkedIn account and your campaigns for what to expect.
A regular LinkedIn search link works on any account
If you'd rather not wait, use an everyday LinkedIn search instead of a Sales Navigator list. A normal LinkedIn people-search link — the kind you get from LinkedIn's regular search bar — imports on any connected account, including LinkedIn Free, and never depends on Sales Navigator access. So you can start building an audience right away while the account gets its Sales Navigator access back.
- Run your search in LinkedIn's regular search (filter by title, location, and so on).
- Copy the search link from your browser's address bar.
- Paste it into WarmySender to build your audience from those results.
Sales Navigator gives you finer filters and saved lead lists, which is why people use it — but for getting people into a campaign, a regular search link is a dependable fallback that works on every account. For more on building audiences, see Find your ideal leads with filters.
Which account should I import with?
If you have more than one LinkedIn account connected, make sure you're importing with the right one. On the import screen and on LinkedIn › Accounts, each account shows a plan badge — Sales Navigator, Recruiter, Premium, or Free. To import a Sales Navigator list, pick the account showing the Sales Navigator badge, and make sure it's the account that actually owns (or has access to) the list. The badge tells accounts apart at a glance, which helps when two of yours have similar names — and if the one that should be Sales Navigator is showing Premium, that's your cue to re-check its access.
A quick worked example
Say you built a saved list inside Sales Navigator, then disconnected and reconnected that account, and now a fresh import comes in empty. On the import screen you pick that account — which you know has Sales Navigator — and notice it's showing Premium. That's the classic sign it came back from the reconnect without Sales Navigator access, even though your subscription is still active.
You click Re-check Sales Navigator access next to the account. It confirms Sales Navigator access restored and the account shows Sales Navigator. You start the import again — and this time everyone imports. Total time: under a minute. (If the re-check hadn't found it, you'd open Sales Navigator in your browser, reconnect the account from there, and re-check once more — or paste a regular search link to keep moving in the meantime.)
Frequently asked questions
Do Sales Navigator lists actually import into WarmySender?
Yes. A Sales Navigator lead list imports into WarmySender when the LinkedIn account you connected is carrying Sales Navigator access. Paste the list link the same way you would a regular search link. If the list comes in empty, it's almost always because the connected account isn't carrying Sales Navigator access at that moment — most often after a reconnect — which the Re-check Sales Navigator access button fixes in one click.
I pay for Sales Navigator and it's active — why is my list empty?
Because your connected account can come back from a reconnect without Sales Navigator access even while your subscription is active, and in that state it may show its plan as Premium. The list has nothing to open from, so it imports empty. On the import screen, pick that account and click Re-check Sales Navigator access next to it. When it shows Sales Navigator again, re-import and the people come in.
My account shows Premium but I have Sales Navigator. What do I do?
That usually means the account came back without Sales Navigator access after a reconnect — your subscription is fine. On the import screen, pick that account and click Re-check Sales Navigator access next to it to restore it; the plan flips to Sales Navigator and your list imports. If the re-check can't find it, reconnect the account while Sales Navigator is open in the same browser, then re-check once more.
Where is the Re-check Sales Navigator access button?
On the import screen, right next to the account you're importing with — it appears when you paste a Sales Navigator link (or after a Sales Navigator list comes in empty). Click it and it looks again for Sales Navigator access on that connected account and restores it, so the plan flips back to Sales Navigator and Sales Navigator lists import again. You can see each account's current plan badge on the LinkedIn › Accounts page too.
The re-check didn't find Sales Navigator. Now what?
Reconnect the account with Sales Navigator open in the same browser. Open Sales Navigator in a tab, leave it open, then reconnect the account from LinkedIn › Accounts so the connection picks up the session that's carrying Sales Navigator. After it reconnects, confirm it shows Sales Navigator (or click Re-check once more), and try the import again.
I have more than one LinkedIn account connected — which one do I use?
Pick the account showing the Sales Navigator badge, and make sure it's the account that owns the list. Each account shows a plan badge (Sales Navigator, Recruiter, Premium, or Free) on the import screen and on LinkedIn › Accounts, so you can tell them apart at a glance. If the account that should be Sales Navigator is showing Premium, re-check its access before importing.
Can I import from a regular LinkedIn search instead?
Yes, and it's the reliable fallback. A regular LinkedIn people-search link imports on any connected account, including LinkedIn Free — it doesn't depend on Sales Navigator access. Run your search in LinkedIn's normal search, copy the link from your address bar, and paste it into WarmySender to build your audience. Sales Navigator adds finer filters and saved lists, but a regular search link works on every account.
I re-checked and reconnected and it still won't import — what now?
First confirm the account that owns the list is the one you connected, and that it now shows Sales Navigator. As a quick check, open the same list link in your browser while signed into that account — if LinkedIn prompts you to upgrade or the list is empty there too, that account doesn't currently have Sales Navigator, so connect the one that does, or use a regular search link for now. If the account shows Sales Navigator and LinkedIn shows you the full list in the browser but the import is still empty, email [email protected] with the list link and the account you're using, and we'll take a look.
