See which email templates perform best

If you save the email copy you reuse as Templates, WarmySender can tell you which ones actually work. The Analytics → Templates view rolls up real performance — how many sends, what share got opened, what share replied, and how many of those replies were positive — for every template, side by side. Instead of guessing which subject line or pitch lands, you can see it.

This is part of the WarmySender 4-pillar platform — Cold Emailing, Email Warmup, LinkedIn Outreach, and Multichannel sequences. Template performance covers the email copy you send in your cold email campaigns.

Where to find it

Open Analytics from the left sidebar and choose the Templates tab. You'll see one row per saved template with its performance numbers. Use the date range at the top of the Analytics page (7, 14, 30, or 90 days) to choose the window the numbers cover.

What the numbers mean

Each template row shows the outcomes of the emails that used that template's copy, over the date range you picked:

Higher open rate usually points to a stronger subject line; higher reply and positive-reply rates point to copy that resonates. Comparing two templates head to head is the fastest way to learn what your audience responds to — then lean into the winner.

A quick note on open-rate accuracy: open tracking is an industry-standard signal but never perfectly precise. Some recipients and providers (for example, Apple Mail with Privacy Protection) block or pre-load images, and corporate security scanners can open messages automatically. WarmySender filters known scanners and caps open rate at 100%, so treat open rate as a strong directional signal and reply rate as your most trustworthy measure.

Why a template might show zeros (and that's expected)

Template performance starts at zero and fills in going forward, once you build campaigns from a saved Template. So you will see zeros in these normal situations:

None of these mean anything is broken. To start collecting numbers on a template, build your next campaign from it: create or open a campaign, and when you write a step's email, choose the saved template as the starting point. From then on, every send, open, click, and reply from that step counts toward the template's row in Analytics → Templates. The numbers refresh on their own — give a new campaign a little time after it starts sending and the row will begin to populate.

How to get the most out of it

  1. Save the copy you reuse as templates. Only saved templates get their own performance row, so anything you want to measure over time should live as a template.
  2. Build campaigns from those templates. Start each campaign step from a saved template rather than pasting fresh copy, so the results roll up where you can compare them.
  3. Compare and double down. After a couple of weeks of sending, open Analytics → Templates, sort by reply rate or positive reply rate, and reuse the templates that win. Retire or rewrite the ones that consistently underperform.

Questions

If a template you've been sending still shows zeros after its campaign has been running for a while, double-check that the campaign step was built from that saved template (rather than from scratch). If something still looks off, email us at [email protected] with the template name and we'll take a look.
